Sangsug Kim
Sungsug Kim is a sculptor working primarily in stone and bronze. She received her B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Sculpture from Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea, where she also taught sculpture from 2017 to 2018.
Her work is grounded in sculptural processes and material engagement, developed through repeated acts of carving, shaping, and accumulation. Through these processes, she explores how time is embedded within material, and how repetition gradually forms both physical structure and subtle shifts in perception.
She has exhibited internationally, including Sculpture by the Sea (Bondi and Cottesloe), Gomboc Gallery, Juniper Galleries, and Studio Gallery Yallingup, as well as exhibitions in China, France, and South Korea. She has participated in the Saint-Béat Sculpture and Marble Symposium in France and the Changbai Mountain International Sculpture Symposium in China.
Her works are held in public and private collections in South Korea, China, France, and Australia.
