STILL - a group exhibition

13-February-2027 - 13-March-2027

In times such as these of great uncertainty locally and globally, we often oscillate between perseverance and apathy. Hope and resilience drive us to battle (we endure, we don’t give up, we are STILL here), yet challenges can STILL or overwhelm us.

STILL can be motionless and quiet; a contemplation of place or emotion or a time for mental solitude. It can be peaceful or pensive, restful or uncomfortable. Yet STILL can also reflect our journey to persist and the continuity of time. We keep fighting, keep believing and keep moving forward. It can indicate a greater degree ("even better still'') or portray a proverb ("still water runs deep"). A still may be a single shot from a photo or video capturing a moment in time, a memory or an event. It may evoke the consideration of inanimate or stationary compositions in still life.

This exhibition invites the artists to explore the concept of 'STILL', as verb, noun or adjective. A word of dichotomy and nuance, able to reflect our inner or outer worlds equally.
